 | Hey Ted I haven't been on this site much myself lately. Good to see you on here. I was going to call you and some of the 523rd guys that we have contact numbers and addresses for. Eugene called two days ago to tell me that John Geouge had a stroke several days ago and is in bad shape. His son John Dale, is on Caringbridge.com, and post an update every day. John Dale has been fighting cancer himself, for the past year. John can not walk, talk, or swallow now, and they say it will be like this for the rest of his life. If you would like to get a daily report, go to Caringbridge.com and create a password for yourself. Then type in johndalegeouge in the search line to fine the updates. If you send a note, it will ask for your e-mail address, and you will get updates regularly. I hope all is well with you and Karen. Has Paul gotten married yet? Hope y'all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. |
 | Dan, Still learning how to use this site, and just "discovered" you here. Hope you and the wife are doing well. Ted |
 | Hey Bob Thanks for the Thanksgiving wish and poem. I hope you had as much to eat as I did, but the smarts not to eat as much as I did. What's going on in your world these days. I am enjoying having my kids and grand-kids around for a week. We never get tired of them being around. It is going to be quiet around here when they go back to Birmingham. I guess I will have to get up and do something to loose the weight I gained this week. Rats, that ani't no fun. Dan |
| May your stuffing be tasty May your turkey plump, May your potatoes and gravy Have never a lump. May your yams be delicious And your pies take the prize, And may your Thanksgiving dinner Stay off your thighs! |
 | Happy Veterans Day Thank You & Welcome Home! |

| Look At Me”
When you come walking Into that room Don’t turn your head Nor your eyes away
“Look At Me”
See me as I was Before I went away For what is here Is that very same one That has always loved you Before I had gone As I am now that They sent me home Thou pieces are gone Who I was is still here Inside of me So please don’t Turn your head Nor your eyes Away from me “Look At Me”
I am here Just look and you’ll see That love is still in me

| Hay You
I know you don’t want to talk to me right now I can see that in your eyes For they are just like what use to be in mine Back in the day when I come back from afar When people back here hated us as well So I do understand where it is your coming from I and others understand it all to well How it is to live in everyday hell Knowing that there is just no way to tell Those people back here what is was we all saw Right now my friend all I’m trying to do Is this brother tell you we old vets do know Very well what you’re trying to do Now that you have gotten back home Thinking just as U Sam had trained us To believe there was nothing in this world That we could not do or get through But I’m here to tell you he didn’t Train us to turn it off after we were through To be what we use to be is a never again thing That either of us will ever get to do For who we were died over there That very first time shit came down on you Life as we know it was through Hay You Just trying to let you know Thou you think it, your not alone And welcome home
